How to enter



There are 12 categories to choose from and you can enter a maximum of three categories per business.

Please read through the category descriptions below, select the category you wish to enter from the list, then click ENTER NOW . You'll need to register and set up your account the first time you do this.

Registering your account

When registering, you will receive an email which will have a click-through link and a validation code to validate your account. You will need to complete this step before you can start your nomination. If you do not receive the validation email please email dawn.owens@reachplc.com .

Completing your entry

You can save draft entries and return to edit them as often as you wish before submitting. All you need to do is click on the YOUR ACCOUNT tab on the menu banner and this will take you through to your dashboard where you will find all your draft entries and submitted entries.

When you have finished writing your entry and you are ready to submit, you'll need to agree to the terms and conditions then click the COMPLETE button at the bottom of the page. If your entry is still in draft, you will need to click MOVE TO BASKET at the top of the entry before you can click the COMPLETE button.

If you forget your password, please use the reset password link on the login page.

IMPORTANT INFO - PLEASE READ:

  • Maximum word counts are shown below the entry box for each question.
  • A business can be submitted into a maximum of three categories however please tailor your entry according to the category in order to meet judges requirements.
  • Sponsoring companies are not permitted to enter the category they are sponsoring.
  • Entries can be submitted by the business directly or by a third party (agent, client etc).
  • Successful nominations will be notified following the judging session in July.

Categories

 

This award will go to an outstanding individual who has demonstrated except leadership and vision. They will be an employed or self-employed person working at any level within a public or private sector organisation. Their efforts will have brought sustained benefits to their organisations, for employees, customers, suppliers and stakeholders. Entrants will have: led the development and implementation of practices to strengthen the organisation, provided inspiring leadership to employees/colleagues, worked proactively to exceed the expectations of customers and raised the profile of the organisation. Nominations or self-nominations can be made for this category.

This award recognises organisations within the private or public sector. Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate, through their entry, how providing opportunities for staff to develop and enhance their skills has delivered measurable productivity benefits which creates real business impact for the organisation. The judges will want to see evidence of how investment in education, training or professional development has supported their organisation’s business objectives and how it has made a real impact. The entry should be supported by staff case studies, showing how teams or individuals have benefited both professionally and personally from training and learning opportunities.

This award will recognise achievements of an employee who has made a significant contribution to the success of the company they are employed by and who have exceeded expectations within their organisation. Judges will want to see the personal development of the individual, examples of their dedication and commitment, and their product/service knowledge and the benefits that this has delivered to the business. Nominations or self-nominations can be made for this category. Company financial information does not need to be supplied for this award.

This category recognises outstanding performance in environmental responsiveness and sustainable activity. It reflects how important green issues have become to every type of business, large and small and across many different sectors and industries in Lincolnshire. We want to hear how you’re working towards sustainable development goals, ultimately creating a better world. Our judges want to feel inspired by your powerful impact story and are looking to see where you’ve come from, what obstacles you’ve faced, what motivates you to keep going and what your biggest achievements are. Your business will be actively taking green steps towards more environmentally-conscious operations and ethics. You may have introduced environmental policies across your business, are using green communications or endorsing carbon footprint reduction, your stratagem, policies and foresight will reflect a well-considered green approach – rather than fractional, ad-hoc actions.

This award is open to businesses of all sizes, operating in any sector that is family owned and run by at least two members of the family. Entrants will need to show how they are preparing the next generation of their family to ensure continued family ownership of the business. Judges will be looking for an organisation that can demonstrate how the family businesses nature and values have contributed to success across the business. The judges will be looking at:

  • How the family values influence the business
  • The Board and ownership structure of the business and how decisions are made
  • How the interests of the family are balanced against the interests of the business

This award celebrates excellence in corporate, social and ethical activity and seeks to identify those organisations, who whilst undertaking their day to day core business, go the extra mile to best exemplify social and community spirit. The judges will pay particular attention to evidence where a business has contributed to the community, a commitment to projects that demonstrate working in partnership with society and aiding economic regeneration by supporting local suppliers and partners.

The food and farming industry represents a vital part of Lincolnshire’s economy, from those engaged in growing food on farms across the county to the globally important work being carried out by many companies and this award seeks to recognise the work undertaken by the businesses who are successfully innovating in this crucial sector of the economy. The winner can be drawn from any element of the chain – from major producers, to processors to retailers. Entries will need to demonstrate innovation and a strong, all-round performance over the last 12 months, including strategic planning for growth, an ability to respond to market conditions, innovative sales and marketing strategies, diversification, and a positive contribution to the environment.

This award provides recognition to those businesses that have found and developed new solutions to business growth or competitiveness. The judges will be looking for businesses that have been innovative by either: finding a new way of successfully engaging with customers, developing a new product or service, discovering a new solution or business processes, finding a new way of supplying or being supplied, finding and reaching new markets and developing and implementing methods for increasing efficiency.

Aimed at companies for which the world has no boundaries. The business must be based in Greater Lincolnshire, but deals with customers outside of the UK. Judges will be looking for businesses that can demonstrate:

  • Business success in markets outside of the country and/or overseas.
  • It provides goods and/or services to customers on a global scale.
  • Sustainable business growth through export sales or services provided.

This award recognises the progress in terms of business growth and development made by a small business over three years old (as of 20 October 2022) in Lincolnshire with an annual turnover less than £10m. The judges will also be interested in innovative products, services or processes and expansion into new markets and areas of business activities.

This award recognises the progress in terms of business growth and development made by a start-up business under three years old (as of 20 October 2022) in Lincolnshire. The judges will be interested in business plans and their perusal, financial performance, achievements to date and potential growth within the next few years. Accounts will be required but all information supplied will be treated in absolute confidence.

This award is open to young people who have shown outstanding progress and commitment to their own personal development, demonstrated flair and ambition in their job role, and had a positive impact on the business they work for. They could currently be an apprentice or intern, recently completed an apprenticeship or internship, or be a young person at the start of their career who is driven to achieve their goals. The young person must be under the age of 30 (as of 20 October 2022) and must have been employed by their current employer for a minimum of 12 months before the closing date. Nominations or self-nominations can be made for this category. Company financial information does not need to be supplied for this award.
